Abstract:
Changes in society demand new types of literacy, especially those related to the Internet, which is one of the most important means of communication in contemporary society. In relation to the digital divide, most interesting are the potential outcomes that high levels of media literacy might result in. The main effect of differential appropriation of media literacy is more or less participation in several fields of society: economic, social, institutional, political, health, and cultural.
